ChatGPT Ads Pixel Helper — Privacy Policy

This policy covers the ChatGPT Ads Pixel Helper browser extension, published by JustOG, Inc. ("we", "us"), which operates MiraX. It covers this extension only. The MiraX Privacy Policy covers our other products and does not apply here — this extension has no account and no server component.

The short version

Nothing the extension reads ever leaves your browser. There is no server, no account, no analytics, no telemetry, and no third-party SDK. It has to read the page to do its job — that is disclosed in full below — but the data is processed on your machine, shown to you, and discarded when you close the browser. We never receive any of it.

1. What the extension reads

To do its job it has to look at the pages you visit, including frames embedded in them, because an advertising pixel can be installed on any site and often lives inside a tag-manager or hosted-checkout frame. On each page it reads:

  • Calls the page makes to the OpenAI Ads pixel (oaiq(...)) — the event name and the data the site passes with it, such as order value, currency and item identifiers.
  • Whether the pixel's script loaded, via the browser's own resource timing.
  • The ad click identifier — the oppref parameter in the page URL and the __oppref cookie the pixel sets for it.

This can include personal data, and you should know why. If a site passes customer data to its pixel — for example an email address in the email_sha256 field — the extension sees it, because detecting exactly that mistake is one of the things it is for. That value is shown to you and is never sent anywhere.

2. What is stored, and where

  • Diagnostic data — held per browser tab in chrome.storage.session, which is memory-backed and erased when you close the browser. It never reaches disk.
  • Pixel names you type — if you give a Pixel ID your own label, that label is saved in chrome.storage.local so it survives a restart. It stays on your machine. Clearing the field deletes it.
  • Your theme and language choice — also chrome.storage.local, for the same reason: a preference that resets every time you close the browser is not a preference.

Nothing else is stored. The "Clear" button empties the current tab's diagnostic data immediately.

3. What we receive

Nothing. The extension makes no network requests of its own. We operate no endpoint for it, we cannot see what you inspect, and we have no way to identify users of this extension. If you copy a report or JSON from the panel, that goes to your clipboard — where it goes next is entirely your choice.

4. Permissions, and why each exists

  • storage — the per-tab diagnostic data and your pixel labels, both described above.
  • sidePanel — displays the panel next to the page.
  • Access to the sites you visit — the extension has to run on any site, because the site whose pixel you are checking is not known in advance. Access is used only to read the pixel activity described in section 1.

The extension does not request access to your tabs, your browsing history, your cookies as a whole, your downloads, or your network requests.

5. Children

The extension is a tool for advertisers and developers and is not directed to children.

6. Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top. Because the extension stores nothing on our side, changes cannot apply retroactively to data we hold — we hold none.
