ChatGPT ads, set up properly

Show up inside the answer.

The inventory is small and always will be. What it buys is a place next to someone describing their problem — and what earns that place is how your product is described, which is also what decides the answer when nobody is paying.

01 What you're buying

A channel that works, and the reason it works.

The spend does what you think

Before a dollar moves: the pixel verified against the shipped SDK, not the docs — they disagree, and the SDK is what decides whether an event is kept.

  • Every event checked for the payloads that get dropped silently
  • Click id through to attribution, so the sale gets credited
  • Deduplicated against the Conversions API, so it isn't counted twice
  • Reported apart from your other channels, not blended into one number

The placement is earned, not targeted

You're attaching to a moment, not buying an audience. What fits the moment is the description of your product that already exists in the world.

  • Your store listing, and the reviews sitting under it
  • Comparison pages and third-party write-ups
  • The forums your buyers already read
  • Written the way people describe the problem, not the way they search
Where it goes

Ads are the fastest way in. They are not the whole surface.

The same descriptions that earn you a paid placement are what the model draws on when nobody has paid for anything. That's why an engagement that starts at the pixel rarely ends there — and why we'd rather say so on this page than in month three.

What most teams get wrong first

  • Treating it as a feed buy: audiences, creatives, a CPA target borrowed from Meta
  • Benchmarking on impressions against a channel a thousand times its size
  • Turning it on before anything can tell them whether it worked
  • Answering another quarter of blog posts to a problem that isn't reach

What we don't sell

  • A monthly blog-post subscription — models discount obvious vendor material
  • A ranking screenshot you have no way to check
  • Short-form video: TikTok and Instagram are walled off from the readable web
  • Execution of an ad plan somebody else already decided

If you're already running ads, the quickest way to see how we work is to run our free checker over your own pixel and read what it says. Pixel Helper — free →

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is MiraX?

MiraX runs ChatGPT ads for teams already spending on paid channels. The inventory is small and the setup is closer to writing documentation than writing an ad — what earns the placement is the context you attach to, not the audience you pick. Before any money goes out we check the measurement actually works, because the most common install bug makes the pixel throw the sale away entirely and nothing tells you it happened.

Do you only do ads?

Ads are where we start, because they're the fastest thing to turn on and the easiest to judge. They're not where the outcome is decided. What earns a placement is how your product is described in the text a model can read — your store listing, comparison pages, reviews, forum threads. That's also what decides whether you get named when nobody is paying. It's one body of work, not two, which is why an engagement that starts at the pixel rarely ends there.

How is a ChatGPT ad different from a Meta or TikTok buy?

You're not buying an audience, you're attaching to a moment. Someone describes their problem in their own words and the placement goes to whatever fits that description. So the decisive work sits upstream of the creative: making sure the description of your product that already exists in the world is the one that fits. Don't benchmark it on impression volume either — the inventory is small and always will be, and that comparison loses every time.

Why check the pixel first?

Because the failures are silent. A purchase value sent as 49.99 instead of 4999 isn't rounded or corrected — the SDK rejects the event, so that sale is reported as nothing at all. An event named purchase — borrowed from Meta — isn't in OpenAI's taxonomy and is dropped on arrival. One undocumented key inside an item makes the SDK discard the whole event, not the field. None of these produce an error anywhere you'd look. You'd simply read the numbers and believe them.

Who is MiraX for?

Teams already spending on channels, who want to spend more and can't tell which spend earned what. We don't sort by what you build — the problem shows up the same way whether you sell software or something you can hold. We're a poor fit if you haven't started spending yet, or if you want someone to execute an ad plan that's already been decided.

What does MiraX cost?

Engagements run five figures per quarter, separate from what you spend on media. We take on a small number of clients at a time. If that's not where you are yet, the Pixel Helper is free and does real work — a lot of this is doable yourself if you have more time than money.

How long does this take to show results?

Two clocks, and we report them apart. The ads can be live and measured in weeks. The description work behind them moves in months, because pages have to be published, indexed, and then picked up. You'll see the first clock early enough to decide whether to keep going.

Is the Pixel Helper free?

Yes, and staying free. It watches every event your OpenAI Ads pixel fires, catches the payloads that get dropped silently, and tells you whether the ad click was actually attributed. No account. Nothing is collected. It's the manual version of the first thing we do for a client.
